Dr. Alicia Bornemann, PT, DPT graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida, with honors. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Pre-Clinical Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida.

During her time at The U, Dr. Bornemann volunteered over 200 hours treating and managing the local pro-bono clinic in downtown Miami, providing physical therapy services to underserved populations in Miami-Dade County. She  went on to pursue clinical internships in 3 outpatient clinics specializing in post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic conditions, low back pain, vestibular therapy, pain management and performance improvement. Her last internship took place in a medical center specializing in complex post-surgical rehabilitation and ICU early mobilization care. 

She holds active certifications with Selective Functional Movement Assessment (sFMA) and is a Graston Technique Specialist. She  has worked with various orthopedic diagnosis such as chronic low back pain, shoulder pain, and knee pain.  Borne Physical Therapy offers individualized treatment plans by combining techniques such as ROM, mobilization techniques, massage therapy, therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve your quality of life.  

Dr. Bornemann is fluent in both English and Spanish, including medical terminology. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to new places, enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family. She recently moved back to her hometown of Lake Wales, Florida and is dedicated to providing affordable physical therapy services at your convenience.
